This picture of Camdyn, her best friend Katie, and Elmo may seem like a typical preschool photo. But to us, and to Camdyn, is represents a major personal triumph for her. She is a self declared, "Costume fearer" and is almost phobic of characters in costumes. She refuses to set foot in Chucky Cheese and still wonders if the Easter Bunny will be at the mall. She has matter of factly planned to only talk to "The Princesses" when we go to Disney World in the spring and says Charlie can say "Hi" to Mickey, Minnie, and Pooh. The strangest part is that she knows and will tell you that "Costumes are just pretend, they have real people inside of them." So, when Camdyn came home from school and said that she had given Elmo a hug and had her picture made with him, we were so very proud of her attempt to conquer this fear!

Go Camdyn! I was once deathly afraid of Cookie Monster as well as the Easter Bunny.
I'm jealous you're going to Disney World. Do you want to adopt me?

Way to go Camdyn. It's hard to overcome our fears.
