Here is an update on the second half of our vacation. We were in Burke with Pa and GG and the kids had a blast. Many have asked about my solo drive up Highway 81 with the kids and I have to say that it could not have gone any better. We made it without any screaming or tears (from me or the kids!) You also may have surmised from our last blog that our dear "Granny" aka Louise Allen passed away last week. We were all saddened by this loss, but were very proud of Camdyn who faced the funeral bravely with only a million and one questions. We are revisiting the concepts of heaven, death, and all those other mysteries. Camdyn asked, "Why doesn't God just tell us the answer to the mysteries if He already knows?"
These pictures are from our trip with Camdyn to the National Museum of Natural History. GG stayed home with Charlie and we were able to have a great day trip into downtown DC with Camdyn.
