What I have learned after 5 years of parties:
1. Simple is better
2. Kids just love having an open space to run around and play.
3. Get as much help as you can. This year we had Becca, Sally, and Brittany come help. We wouldn't have been able to have the party without them!
4. Home made and kid decorated cupcakes are way better than fancy cakes. Let's hear it for purple sprinkles!!
5. Getting dressed up in costumes makes everything more fun.
