Happy Birthday, Camdyn!

Every year that we celebrate another birthday it seems more and more incredible just how quickly Camdyn is growing up. Every year it amazes me that I have such an amazing and beautiful daughter. Here are a few things that make Camdyn, Camdyn:

1. Her sweet, gentle, enormously compassionate heart. This I believe she gets from GG. She worries about kids in her class when they are sick. She watches out for her baby brother every where and all the time.

2. Her imagination. I love to listen to her play with her little dolls. She can enter into a very vivid and beautiful world of pretend play.

3. Her prayers. Camdyn blesses us with the most beautiful and sincere prayers. She reminds us why Christ said we must have the faith of a child. Her faith is real and well thought out. We have discussed everything from the cross to the trinity. I believe one reason God gave me my parents was to train me to answer all of Camdyn's theological questions!

4. Her inquisitiveness. Camdyn wants to know everything about everything. Our friend Stanley Lane was with us in Cleveland the other weekend and had never experienced Camdyn's interrogation skills before. After one stream of questions, he said, "Do you realize she just fired off about 15 questions in less than thirty seconds?"

5. Her free spirit. Let's just say that Camdyn and her Nanny should never be allowed to travel far without chaperones. Nothing is too high or too fast. Trees are made to be climbed. Part of me can't wait to see what beautiful adventures lie in her future.

Happy Fifth Birthday, Camdyn! You are the joy of my heart.
